Meet Dawn - The Master Cakesmith!
Hi, I’m Dawn! Classically trained chef, cake artist, sparkle enthusiast and founder of The Master Cakesmith.
After retiring from the Royal Air Forces, after a long and rewarding career, I traded muddy boots for mixing bowls and set out to create unforgettable cakes for unforgettable love stories. Since 2012, I’ve baked for hundreds of happy couples across the North East and Northumberland. As an executive chef within the Royal Air Force, I worked at the highest level of fine-dining and VIP, I’ve had the incredible honour of cooking for many royals and dignitaries including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Majesty King Charles III (no pressure, right?).
These days, my passion is all about baking. When I’m not in the kitchen whipping up something sweet, you’ll find me sipping coffee, wandering the countryside with my dog, or getting inspired by all things modern, rustic, industrial, vintage, sparkly... basically, if it’s pretty, I’m into it!
